The name
“A shell, carried far from the sea. Sand, native to this red earth. Somewhere between the two, a turtle keeps its pace.”

Rachel builds her portraits at home, in Oklahoma — lake light, open fields, front porches. But the calm she brings to every session, unhurried, patient, has always belonged to the ocean she loves from a distance, and to the green sea turtle that's been her favorite since she was a girl. Shell & Sand is that distance, closed.
